Agnes McKenna of Carson City will be presented with the Rosie the Riveter Congressional Medal by Jeanette Gutierrez of the Rosie the Riveter Association of Michigan. During World War II, the women went to work in war production factories and were critical in winning the war and opening doors for women. Respectfully known as Rosie the Riveters, these women were collectively honored with a Congressional Gold Medal in 2024.Gutierrez will be presenting McKenna with the official bronze replica of the medal from the U.S. Mint.
